Why did we choose the name “rekindle”? We were trying to decide on the name for our new counselling business, based in Christchurch New Zealand, and we came up with a seed list of names that we ran past some friends in CHCH who run a graphic design house. We received a return email from these friends who suggested a number of additional possibilities for our business and one of the names was “rekindle”. I began to favour this name, as it suggested some of the things that I wanted to provide with my therapy:
- helping people to renew their passion for life
- helping couples to renew their passion in love
- helping to communicate that passion in life is something that has to be nurtured, much like a fire
I then came across this quote:
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.” (Plutarch)
So, the name was chosen!
